Plus on my version there wasa bonus DVD with extras like how the game was made, previews of storm of war: battle of britain, and lots of extra bits too. Its an excellent price for what you get.

Which means you can now play them with the much better (IMO) engine.
A better gain than just including the original IL2, if you ask me.
As there is no seperate Special Edition around, this will be included in every copy of the game.

Good to hear guys! How do the servers work out? (...for lack of a better phrasing...) Such as, could I use something like Xfire for server browsing or is it like Silent Hunter 3 where you have to connect to through Ubisoft?

If I may add my two cents...
I recomend the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. There are lots of bad sticks out there where the button placement makes it a pain to switch between guns, secondary guns, bombs and rockets etc.
The 3D pro is just right and has a throttle (a must for IL2).
Either way some hands are larger or smaller than others so I recommend you find a display that lets you handle the stick before you buy. This will save you the hastle of getting stuck with an uncomfortable stick.

I'm pretty confused about all the titles, I went into Ubisoft's website at I find all these titles:
Pacific Fighters IL2 Sturmovik:
Forgotten Battles Ace Expansion Pack IL2 Sturmovik
Which of these should I get, and what is the difference?

Neither, you want the ALL IN ONE Uber IL2 DVD called "IL2 Sturmovik 1946".
Do yourself a favor and do what I did. If you live in the U.S. it is not availabe so go to ebay and order the UK version from there. It's expensive that way but worth every penny IMHO.
Or you can wait for the U.S. release.

I fly it in HL all the time. It's just a matter of going into the right room and setting HL up correctly.
