I think this will be the result from using your iron sights from behind cover? The devs said when you did this your guy would crouch up from the cover allowing you to shoot then when you turned the IS off or looked away from the cover he would duck back down

Yeah, they've said it multiple times
You can also see a leaning soldier on the Berlin map, and the ironsight pic from the destroyed jeep looks like its probably crouching + resting the rifle.

the stance of the german with the mg seems somewhat weird, it would be very exhausting to stand with your legs bent like that. (i dont mind it in the game though, in no way will a computer avatar be as flexible as a real person)

Everything looks great (first screen is purty ) though I must admit I was a little put off by the MGs clipping in the screenshots. Minor bug as it is.
The germans in the second to last screenshot look like they took a direct shell hit , ouch. I did notice that arcing tracer, hmm wonder what that means.
