What part of no developer has ever achieved or held up to their promises of such before do you not understand? I want to believe, but until I see it I just cannot. Its no fault of TWI, but seeing larger and more refined developers fail in this aspect makes me apprehensive.

Just because history says that a bunch of people get lazy, cheap, careless, pick an adjective when it gets to doing multiple does not mean that we are going to make the same mistakes.
Valve. L4D2. Just saying.
But let me see if I can explain even further.
We develop for PC. The only changes I can think of that would affect the PC version in any way whatsoever would be addition of UI elements to help out with controller support.

Have a little faith. As stated, they are developing them individually.I'm still not very happy, even after all the attempts to calm the mob on this one. If only you guys had made that PC version, and then a konsole one. I just dont know any good game that has both a pc and a console version, and all the almost good ones, like Skyrim, would have been great if they didnt had the BS of those konsoles to carry with them.

Also, Skyrim is a bad example. It didn't have a crippled PC version (which was superior to console versions, mainly due to mod support).

It's freakin amazing to see people get negative about a process that they have not seen nor understand the complexity of game builds. Just because other companies have cannonballed in what they thought was a mudpit and came out smelling worse - doesn't mean every other company that adds a new platform is going to do it the same way. Do yourself a favor and go play one of those other god-forsaken flops, and then when KF2 for PC is available, come on back and be prepared to say one three letter word.
Hmm Portal was nice, the rest so-so to pretty bad imo. NV boring after I tried for like 10hours in total, Xcom I played for 30min, so much more examples of bad game due to konsolfication than good ones. Every time to same reasons: bad UI, crappy performance and bad quality for the PC. I guess we all know the Ubisoft dabacles lately. And you know what, those game where to be such great games, super PC optimized, blowing your mind, but like always, at release they sucked. Simply because Ubi did not focus on the product, but on the masses and big dosh.Wilsonam already said one: L4D2
I'll say a few more: Portal, Portal 2, Half-Life 2, Planetside 2, XCOM, Fallout New Vegas, Warcraft 2, Warframe...

We develop for PC. The only changes I can think of that would affect the PC version in any way whatsoever would be addition of UI elements to help out with controller support. There are a bunch of extra PC features that won't make it to PS4, but that's another matter.
For the PS4 version, we now have extra, real specialists in house (Hi, Terry). There's a bunch of (bloody complicated) engine to finish up to make it run on PS4. There's obvious things to be replaced - all the Steamworks stuff, for example. We also need to look at UI, gameplay/balance and other issues to ensure that the game gives a good console experience.

But, bollocks to it. The real answer is to a) have a little faith and/or b) simply wait and see. If we screw up, don't buy it.
Of course not, but it happens more often than not so you can understand people's anxiety about it.
Actually, the first part was the real answer, but thanks. We have no choice but to wait and see. Good luck with the rest of the development!
Its ok, I'm still worried too. Less worried than I was after Ramm-Jaegers other posts in general discussion, but still worried non the less. Can only wait to see what happens.I'm still not very happy, even after all the attempts to calm the mob on this one. If only you guys had made that PC version, and then a konsole one. Fallouts suffered the usual bethesda curse of no modding potential on consoles, so they were only ok. I'm fairly certain they leave their games half baked because they know the modding community will do all the work for them, which would explain why TESO is awful / dead.Wilsonam already said one: L4D2

Warframe however, how could you even say that? Have you played warframe in the past two months?.
1- there will be the tool to create your own dedicated server?.
2- there will be server browser?.
thx.
