Level Design Foundry - a treasure trove of content

so has anyone else been going through kf-foundry and seeing what they can integrate into their maps or is it just me?

I wonder if they considered the timing of this content update versus the end of the contest deadline....because after just one play through, I can see A LOT of new meshes and textures. And maybe it's just me, but many of them look a lot sharper/crisper than what shipped in the stock maps.

so far i'm just using the corpses since there is only 1 in the stock maps.

and yeah i'd have to agree that the new content does look alot better. can't explain why.

Had Foundry been out pre-contest, I would have been much happier and most likely much better off in the contest. Such is life. Nice stuff, and great for the community.

Correct. It's the most detailed stock map for KF.

yes. not sure what it means exactly. says its missing content, but shouldnt the content be there already?

The missing content is just linking to old stuff that isn't there anymore I believe Xienen mentioned in the linux server thread.

Foundry is definitely the best KF map there is. Lots of fun to play and it looks great. Haven't browsed through the content yet I hope there are some things of use to me.

I did. Have not compared them yet to the old ones. There are a few new colors in there. LOL. Its a maze to try and sort out.

Probably to make it stand out among KF_Pawn actors, ect... Before the update, for some reason my Trader actors wouldn't show in the 2-d view ports.

I am working on my map right now. I have noticed the cameras are now red instead of yellow.

I have been very impressed, with the content that has been added with the new Foundry map.... Have to give a hearty congrats in particular to whoever it was that did the texture for the forklift.... That is a work of beauty!

Remember to check the poly counts on some of the static meshes you're placing! Some of them can be quite costly if they don't have a cull distance set. [StaticMeshActor Properties > Display > CullDistance]

Can't wait to see all the messed up positions you guys put those corpses into.
