RO2 Release Date delayed 2 weeks to 13 Sep 2011

TWI, you must understand where we are coming from.

Just a couple days ago you released pre orders for the game. Now with less then a month left into the game you push it back even after you start exclusive pre-orders.

You(TWI) have not told us about any hick ups that you guys were experiencing. for all we knew the game development and testing was going fine. It's not an unethical business practice but one to deserve flak over.

We have to announce that the release date for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is shifting back two weeks to September 13, 2011. While we understand the fans are clamoring to get their hands on the game, we felt we needed the extra two weeks to get it right and add the extra polish the game (and the players) deserve.

To answer a few questions/comments (and so it doesn't get lost in the forums): And that was raising as many questions as it answered, so I'll shut up now :)

This will bite Tripwire in the behind if the game still has issues upon release...

U just kidding us right? Hello? We living in the Internet Age... bring it after Release with a ****ign Patch, where is the Problem!

A lot of the player base and reviewers will judge the game based on its release. Rarely will you ever see those players or reviewers come back to the game to judge it again. It's better to just delay it than release a broken build.

Tripwire: "Hey guys, we already have a weeks worth of your preorders, so now we're going to give you our _actual_ release date...". No wonder these guys love the Steam platform so much; no refunds!

You can refund if you want to. Just send a Steam ticket ask for refund. While you are whining and throwing baseless criticism I'll be playing the beta. Those who have patience will be rewarded.

Actually Steam will give refunds without question if a game has not yet been released.

Yep. I plan on getting my refund. Not that I am not getting Red Orchestra. More so for the fact of preordering it too get into the beta and having the release forthcoming.

I will be out of town for two weeks when the game is released (the revised release), so that does me zero good. I am a bit disappointed it is on sale for preorder and than suddenly changed in relative short notice.
