here is my new map!

And yes, it is a Minecraft universe based map! And its fun to play it :)

Couple of things. Your map is 25MB despite having rather low quality textures.

I made a Minecraft map a while back that uses inflated textures (256x256 each) to stop the odd texture blurring, you just have to set the surface scaling to .25 (if your cubes are 64x64x64). They're there if you'd like to use them.

Another thing - you didn't compress most of the textures. You missed a large part of the textures when you were compressing. Server compression tools will not do this for you, you must compress textures to DXT1, 3 or 5 for you to cut down on texture space.

I might have missed some in my map too. If you see any in RGB8 format, compress them to DXT1 if there's no alpha channel (transparency). If they have transparency, compress them to DXT5.


...now that's out of the way... Nice use of the 4.0 light map! You pull of the shadows from that sunlight actor really well! I've got a map I'm working on with 1.0 light map atm and I might bump it up to 4.0 seeing how well it looks on this map.
