Oh...so that's why my plane started to slow down and crashed into the ocean later on....
Interesting. And I guess from the physics of it, you need to drop your bombs before you are over your target, how do I measure this in an IL-2 Sturmovik or an other ground attack plane? They don't seem to have bombsights.
And how do I stop my plane from going naturally "up" or down"? My joystick should be coming in the mail today, but I would like to know how to do this, it gets annoying when I'm trying to fly straight. (I only learned that I had my flaps on "take off" mode after 30 minutes of dogfighting lol.)
Those "cassete" ordinance reminds me of bird poop - it sprays everywhere in little droplets when you release lol.
I'm so much better at strafing ground targets than I am at dogfighting.
Seriously, it got my adrenaline pumping when the anti-aircraft guns opened up on me, trying to "box" me in with FLAK fire, explosions and tracers zooming past all around me and I dived down opening fire with my 30mm(?) cannons strafing their fuel depot. My wingmate got hit beside me and turned in a fiery cataclysm and smashed into a hanger while screaming "Mayday!". Holy crap, I wished I filmed it.
The game is pretty hard, but its pretty awesome too.
