Connection Failed

Seems the whole game is going down for everyone. Just a few people I've been talking to are still in game, the rest can't connect to any servers, despite re-validating the Steam cache, deleting the clientregistry.blob file, etc. Steam has updated the platform files a few times, but still, can't connect to a server.

Steam problem or what?

Same here. 5 people in MoJo clan get the "Connection Failed" screen about 6 seconds after the Deploying to "MapName" screen starts to load.

Rebooting didn't help.

Can connect to everything else, but once I try to join a game, I get "Connection Failed"

So much for playing tonight... :\

This is a true thing, it just got me. Only 2 9th SS members are playing and its because they were in server for hours.


Go Steam! and oblviously the RO Devs had nothing to do with this, as the thread above this one fails to realize.

Same here. Was playing when suddenly i got disconnected. Haven't been able to join a game since. Did the logout and clientblob deletion with no succes.

I tried running a listen server and that worked, some guy even joined and left. Then i tried to join another server but it says connection failed.

This just happened to me about a half hour ago. I was playing Arad on the <RTR> server when all of a sudden BOOM "Connection Failed". Now I can't ping most servers and connection fails for all servers.

I thinking that this problem isn't just affecting just a few people I made a few changes to my bios just to see if it was caching problem, just twick my video speed a little and it didn't change anything, but I did discover that in certain maps when I'm in edges of the maps the game slows down or I end up at the main menu. Kill RO, go to steam, file change user, and then log back in (don't log out any other way) if this doesn't work kill steam, delete the clientregistry.blob and log back in.

This has worked for some.


We are looking into the situation further. Please be patient.

I killed just about everything there is to kill and still fail to connect

Same here. Steam updated. Played for about 5 minutes on Lazur and then got booted. Killed everything I could and still it isn't working. However this isn't a big problem for me. Just wondering what could be wrong.

Do those with issues have the SDK installed? Or a better question I guess is are any of you having this issue WITHOUT the mod SDK installed? We're investigating this, but are not sure what the issue is yet. We'll let you know as soon as we do.

I don't have the SDK installed. I can join Listen servers, but not dedicated ones. At least, that seems to be the pattern.
