Well its working now all of a sudden. So im confused as to wether the problem was with my computer or with the steam server?
edit: I reinstalled zone alarm and its no longer working, its giving me the 10053 error again.
edit: Well now its working again. When I first load windows itll give me the 10053 error but I just let it close its self down and I restart it and it works.

ZA can be quirky at times, especially after an update. It's taken me days to get it to allow programs to work after a ZA update that worked before the update. Sometimes it drives me nuts - but I won't let my computer stay connected without it.
Then again, it's only a backup to my hardware firewall. Suspenders AND belt, that's me!
