Thats what its like in RO with people trying to pickup weapons,

Yes, I hope that there is some kind of system that forbids you from picking up a weapon if that drop comes from a TK kill.

Oh god, body blocking heroes/calling in enemy ambushes/hiding behind heroes....

Depends on whether I like them or not.

Too many people jumped on the SMGs, semi auto rifles and sniper rifles in Ostfront because they just figured they were "better" guns only for them to completely waste everyone's time by sucking tremendously with them.

I'll use them when I feel like it. Just like I do for all of the weapons in RO1. When I feel like using a bolt action rifle, I will choose riflemen. I liked the STG44, so the MKB42 will be nice to use as a replacement.

The AVT40 seems pointless... but it can be fun for a shooting range map.

If you're good at hipshooting it's no big deal. Been there done that.

Will probably use bolts the most, seconded by snipers and mayhaps pistols.
I'll capture the SVT-40 if I can and I might even use the G-41 if they give the damn thing a bayonet this time around; and regarding the SMGs, I'll probably only use those if I'm playing a really, really, really CQC map (think Danzig, but spammier) or if the sapper or commander classes don't get access to rifles (I really hope that at least the sapper will be able to choose a regular bolt instead of being stuck with an SMG).

Honestly I haven't been following HoS at all, I only pay attention to games I'm not sure about before release - HoS was a confirmed buy since announcement.

Kind of sucks my favorite weapon in RO didn't even exist yet in Stalingrad. :O
