What is classic game mode?

It's basically adapting RO2's gameplay to RO1's standarts of movement speed, sway, stamina. Essentially slowing down the gameplay a bit trying to bring back the fun balance RO1 had. Also rapidly dropping player numbers after RO2's release must have helped.

I for one, am coming back after a few months of not even touching the game to try this.
Plus I'll have some heavy time on my hands since my romantic week-end is off
(death in her distant family).

Why wait until it is released when you can test it out in beta right now and give some proper feedback?

open steam. click on view in the upper left. then tools. it should be in there. if not, it might still only be for those who pre-ordered the game. (that would be dumb though)

Yep, tried it.
I was just about to go to sleep when I saw the game updating like toward midnight.
I thaught I'll take a quick peek at it, but I end up playing 2 hours.
It's finally the game I've been waiting for since they announced a Red Orchestra 2. It does finally feel RO.

Gave it a quick spin, confirmed all my fears. Will play more in the evening to see how all the maps play, but station was ver unenjoyable.

Please don't, your attitude was beyond bad on the server. Going on for like 20 mins about how terrible it is. You made your mind up before even playing, just sat there complaining about everything
People don't have to like everything the way you do. This game needs positivity now. If you don't like it, just play arma2 like you said
