Yep, after many many many years of speculation, it's true: Thief 4 is being developed.
Thief is my favourite singleplayer series ever. 'The Dark Project', the first Thief, was quite innovative. Stealth using the first person perspective hadn't been done yet very often at that time. The sequel, 'The Metal Age' was great as well. The great thing about Thief is that it had, and still has, a very active community which produced a lot of good fan missions or 'FMs' for both Thief 1 & 2. They were a lot of fun to play, and definitely increased replay-value. Some of them were even better than the stock missions. 'Thief: Deadly Shadows' was good as well, although it just wasn't the same (Ion Storm developed it instead of Looking Glass Studios).
Anyway... for me, Thief had it all; a great storyline and setting, dark atmosphere, interesting tools and weapons, unusual cutscenes, but most of all: a very cool anti-hero. Garrett the master thief - a quiet, cynical loner, roughin' it in The City every night, stealing from the rich, and giving to himself.

I love it so much. Hopefully, Thief 4 will be just as good as the first two. Although I wonder what the story will be, because Thief 3 pretty much ended the story.
