Is it racism, or is it a health and safety concern?
Most of the workers in the factory where I am the health and safety boss are from other countries, where sanitation is apparently not up to snuff. They have not been trained in the proper use of a toilet, it seems. Even though they mostly manage to hit the toilet with their filth, they are not clear on the concept of throwing toilet paper in it, and so instead there is paper covered with **** in the trash can, and flies - IN FEBRUARY - cover it.
When I try to get this behavior to change, the race card is played. It is their culture to do this, and I should be sensitive to their cultural disdain for proper use of a toilet.
Disease be damned! Let sensitivity reign supreme!
