Greetings, Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm forums! While I'm sure you're all currently enjoying Rising Storm at the moment, I imagine you're curious as to what the future holds for the game. Namely, what new maps might arrive in time?

As such, I have taken the liberty of collecting all of the screenshots and videos I could find depicting the two as-of-yet unreleased Rising Storm maps: Nhpum Ga/Maggot Hill and Betio.

Would seem odd to release them now when they havent been tested in the Open Beta over the past few weeks. They would probably need balance tweaks.

That makes since, but it would be a nice treat and welcoming surprise if they are included with the release.

Well, if I may use the phrase, **** happens. Probably unforseen problems causing them to be put aside till the rest of the game was polished off.

I certainly hope they get into the game post-release. I wasn't expecting it to release this soon thought they would have finished them up before they released the full game.

yeah honestly i was really thinking there would be more maps at release 5 is not enough i know its an expansion but i see myself playing this more than ro2

6 maps are fine. They're good maps, within a month there will be custom maps too.

No, the attackers never spawn in the vehicles.

However, this early trailer does show the Allies actually riding the landing craft to the beachhead of Iwo Jima:

Of course, that's likely just one long scripted scene built strictly for promotional purposes.

I remember seeing a picture of Maggot Hill featuring different US skins for the 5307th with soft caps instead of helmets, I hope they keep those they looked awesome

my guess is all that old stuff was cut... I really really hope that the snlf skins make it in. I dont think devs realize that in a game that is supposed to be "realalistic" different skins for different troops creates lots of immersion

IIRC these maps were put on the backburner because they needed to bug test and work on their balance so I don't think this is the last we'll see of them
