Server New "Beta" server update is out for linux and windows

Hi, I have opened a cmd prompt, gone to the directort that HLDS update and RO are, and then typed;
"HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game redorchestra -beta ro"

I now have a folder called -update in the directory, do I need to copy the folders/files out of this folder and overwrite the existing files?

thx in advance

use this command ling, the problem with yours is you didnt tell ti where to install the update.

hldsupdatetool -command update -game "redorchestra" -beta ro -dir G:\ROOST

edit the G:\ROOST bit to reflect where you have the previous version of ROOST installed. Once that is done but the edited command line into the window and hit enter, you will get a message saying updating from version 3 to 4 I believe. Then when its downloaded you can just restart your server and your good to go. Make sure your server is off while your downloading

oh and FYI it replaces the .bat file but everything else is left untouched.

This patch doesn't include the 3369 optimizations that Epic did. Rolling those changes in will take quite a bit more testing to make sure they don't break anything, and we felt the memory leak fix needed to get out ASAP. We should be rolling the 3369 optimizations into the next patch as we will have enough time to verify that the 3369 changes don't break anything.

My windows server crashed with the beta. Not sure if it could be a mutators fault...

Thanks Bonehead, can't seem to find a mini-dump with any information so it's hard to tell. I think it may be the team-kill mutator.

Is that the entire call stack? If not, can you post all of it?
