Maneater Hotfix Is Live

The changelog is as follows:

All Platforms
  • Save Game
    • Added a backup save system where the game will keep two saves in a save slot incase one becomes unavailable so it can fallback to the previous
    • Added additional protection to keep save files from being overwritten
    • Added additional protection to the save system to keep saves from corrupting
  • Optimization and Environmental
    • Optimized environmental buildings
    • Optimization done to the map menu
    • Optimization and Fixes done to particles that were impacting performance on all platforms
    • Fixed the large crashed tanker in the prologue having geometry with missing collision
    • Fixed a case where landmark audio cues would not play
    • Fixed bridge geometry in Fawtick Bayou where the player shark could become stuck
    • Fixed pontoon boat next to Flamingo Joe’s having the wrong textures
    • Made sure fire that was missing from some Tiki torches and statutes was relit
    • Fixed several environmental collision issues
  • Landmark and Collectables
    • Retroactive fix for collectible and landmark objectives that got destroyed but still indicated you needed to complete/find them. You will need to re-enter an area to trigger this fix in each area. (NOTE: This does not fix quests that show as being completed or objectives fulfilled but the reward was not given. For example: Queen of the Ocean or specific evolution unlocks. This will be addressed in another update.)
  • Quest, Prey and Bounty Hunters
    • Changed bounty hunters to no longer require diver kills to progress
    • Balanced King Mackerel and Parrot Fish levels to give the same nutrients
    • Fixed a situation where bounty hunter boss boats would linger after the boss and player shark had died in combat
    • Fixed quest flow so that it will not break if players refuse to eat Pete’s hand
    • Fixed a situation where infamy would not progress if players did not equip sonar
    • Fixed a situation where the narrator would cut off Pete taunting the shark
    • Fixed a situation where re-engaging bounty hunters after they had lost the player would not retrigger bounty hunter wave
    • Fixed several cinematic frame issues
    • Fixed a situation where multiple objectives of the same type could be selected for the waypoint
  • Player Shark and Combative Wildlife
    • Fixed a situation where the player shark would revert to the prologue mother shark
    • Fixed harpoons floating outside the shark player model without impaling it
    • Fixed a situation where the shark mass in the UI would be incorrect with certain evolutions equipped
    • Fixed a situation where the tiger shark skin would lose upgrade
    • Fixed a situation where the biting player shark would bump prey away instead of biting it
    • Fixed a situation where combative AI fins and limbs would shake if the player shark came close
    • Fixed a situation where combative wild life would stop targeting the player if they played too long
    • Fixed mother shark back of eye during a held bite, she would prefer if you did not look that closely
  • Menu
    • Fixed loading screen hints that had incorrect text
    • Updated credits
PS4:
  • Fixed a controller disconnection that could result in a freeze/crash and corrupt save
  • Added further Dynamic Resolution adjustments to improve framerate
XB1:
  • Fixed an issue where disconnecting the controller or switching profile would result in the game going back to the main menu without saving
  • Fixed an issue which could cause some hardware to shutdown
  • Fixed trees popping in during the opening cinematic
  • Fixed a situation where gore chunk geometry would stretch
  • Fixed a situation where the main menu UI would not update if the player signed into Xbox Live
PC
  • Fixed ESC button not being usable in Key Mapping or Video Settings

I'd like to add to my previous post..
It's a funny thing. The soul purpose of me backing up my save to the cloud prior to beating the final boss on v1.03 was because I didn't know if this was a "point of no return" in the game. I wasn't aware that you could continue to play after beating the game. I also didn't know about any of the glitches/bugs reported. I guess I got lucky in some way since I actually aquired all in-game upgrades and seemed to get those 100%-tags on every area. And of course not loosing my savedata during the playthrough.

The only thing I wish I didn't do was to tailwhip open the gates, or atleast leaving out one of the three. After some digging around it seems like opening one of those gates could potentially solve the 100%-issue, I read that for some people it did. Oh well.
 
Any news from Microsoft on the Xbox patch?, no update popping up yet. Still only 5 mins into the tutorial before overheating since launch. Be good if I could play the game soon.

The latest bug fixes have made Golden Shore 100%
But the shadow fins are not unlocked
Please do it properly! I like this game so I want to have fun playing it! ! !

Just realised i'm on GMT and Microsoft are 7 hours behind, fingers crossed it happens later tonight for us UK guys

My Old Ass Computer.

- Windows 10
- i5-2320
- 8 GiG RAM
- GeForce GTX660 - 2GB GDDR

720p, all settings on High except shadows, I have that on medium. I get around 45-60 FPS no crashes.
 
Still upset I bought the game at full price. I should’ve waited for it to drop to 30 once all these bugs are fixed. Had my game reset on me twice thus far, one time when I had just reached level 30, no more than 10 seconds later and everything is wiped. It’s an extremely fun game, but these bugs are game breaking, I’ve been patiently waiting for weeks. I don’t understand how you can make an open world game without the option to manually save, it just doesn’t make any sense. I hope we’ll at least be rewarded with some free DLC for this delay, as much as I wanted to get a refund I liked the game and at this point I’ve waited for too long to get one anyways.
 
Where am I land markers will not show up and I know where it is but it will not let me even collect the sign what can I do cuz I needed to get the shadow teeth

Nope, and i mean it's now Tuesday 2am at Microsoft HQ right? I get its kinda out of Tripwires hands now but just don't give timescales that you can't control and make people wait and expect something they're not going to get. I mean the initial post said it could have been 'later that day' just frustrating i bought a game over two weeks ago and it is still yet to work for me.

I never saw anything like that. Might be the poorest game launch I've EVER seen.
And we'll never get anything from that. You guys should be working on a way to reward the patience of players because I spent 40€ on a game I can't play and I've been nice enough to avoid claiming a refund hoping for a fix...

As far as I'm concerned this patch didn't fix anything. I have everything complete 100%, unlocked everything, maxed everything out, revisited all the areas, opened all the gates, and my progress still shows that my story completion is at 99% and the Queen of the Ocean trophy still won't pop. There is absolutely nothing more I can do or have to do in the game and I'm getting really ticked off at this point because I want to be done with this game, but I can't uninstall it and move on until you fix this dang issue. It's been weeks!

the times they have given should be taken as general, not set. as adults you/me/we. need to just be patient and wait.
try turning your resolution down to 720p on your platform of choice. it will help ease the strain on your machine. my PS4 (PRO) 1080p, and Xbox One (X) 1080p, have had no overheating issues. fan noise yes but no over heating issues.

Switching resolution does nothing since it's not a Xbox hardware issue but a bug with the game itself (can confirm, I tried to downgrade to 720p already). I payed 40€ day one for a game I can't play. The game launched May 22th. We're June 9th and I still can't play it (when I say I can't play it, I really mean it. The game really crash in less than 5 minutes). This is not being childish.
