I was playing the mod for the first time last night. One Word: Great!

I love this game and i am playing it since RO mod alpha. But Market Garden is like a dream come true. Thank you devs!

First, awesome mod!! been playing it all night I hadn't really been keeping track of RO2 happenings as of lately but now I'm interested again.


Second, and this has probably been mentioned by someone already but do you plan on keeping the upper tier unlocks available for the Thompson sub? I'm pretty sure American soldiers didn't land at Normandy with a forward grip and a drum mag installed. I could be completely wrong though. It just seems kinda outta place in this theatre.

There is an M1A1 in the works. The plan is to give the americans the M1A1 thompson to the americans and give the existing M1928 thompson to the british. If all goes well.

Just to let you Devs know there are a couple issues with the Steam homepage for Heroes of the West.

On the main HotW page if you click on "Community Hub" you are taken to the Rising Storm / RO2 multiplayer community hub instead of the proper HotW hub. This is the correct hub you should be redirected to --> http://steamcommunity.com/app/440090

Also, I cannot leave a Steam review for HotW because Steam says I need more than 5 minutes in-game to post a review. I actually have roughly 4 hours. Everyone on my Steam friends list that is also playing HotW has the same issue. It says they have 0 minutes in game. I notice if you kick Hotw off from the Steam launcher it at first says you are playing "Heroes of the West" but then kicks immediately over to saying "Red Orchestra 2" so perhaps the time played issue starts there.

Somehow I would like to leave a positive Steam review.

We are working on the Community Hub Link, I think its something on Valve's end. Also teh weird 5 minute thing, can you click launch HOTW and when the Window pops up to remove conflicting files, leave it open for a couple mins before hitting OK?

Personally I don't have the launcher working like on the BETA days, I even tried to launch it manually, but it instantly start the game, no more launcher with the button "clean files".

Wow, I largely don't play RO2 anymore. I'm god honest burnt out on the gameplay, but I'll be damn if this isn't some amazing work.

Those are squad leaders with the White NCO collars. Though maybe the White is a bit too white.

It's a server setting that can be turned off on its own. In any game mode or game type. Just contact your server operators to do it. Without the need of going full classic.

On Omaha, playing on the ally side, the game doesn't seem to register my spawn selection. Many times I chose either of the available spawn points or squad leader, but then i never spawn where I choose to spawn.

Hope Oosterbeek will be optimized more, getting FPS drops with low CPU and GPU usage in and around Hotel Hartenstein.

What are you folks going to do about the German voices?

"Your war is over Ivan!", "The Bolsheviks won this time ...", "Ivan there!" are anything but immersive.
You should get going with some German voice actors.
