Doesn't Get Past the Splash Screen...

Fixed it for me but my screen looked very weird and the shadows were pixellated, when I changed the settings it started crashing again!
Well I'm happy to know that at least you can play the game now :)

When you are ingame, play a bit with the settings menu to get decent graphics.
I suggest you to modify them one by one, until you find the one crashing your game.

For people who tried my cfg, and are still experimenting crashes on startup. (could work for others not using my cfg too).

Line 1065 of my config, you should have
bDisablePhysXHardwareSupport=False

Set it to

bDisablePhysXHardwareSupport=True

And try again :)

Didn't help. I reinstalled my windows this morning and going to retry ROHS later this day.

Ok...i have seen this problem on other threads without much success. So im going to try here, because I REALLY want this game to work for me. Here is what im using...

Windows 7, Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz 6600 on a 32bit system with a 1gb 8800 gtx. I only have 2 gb of ram, but there is more than enough available to launch the game.

Here is what i have done up to this point.
- Deleted and reinstalled Steam itself, twice
- Deleted and reinstalled the game 3 times.
- Ran the UE3 and PB redist on each reinstall
- Defragged HD
- Verified Integrity of game
- Defragged the game files
- And a couple of things i cant remember at this point...hehe

The one thing i do notice is when i try to launch i bring up the task manager and it shows ROGame.exe running in the processes...but in the applications it shows the unrealengine3 unresponsive.

This RO Vet needs assistance...lol....thanks guys.

I have no clue if it would help, but try to launch the game again after yu changed the bForceNoMovies setting in the ROEngine.ini file (located in My Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Config). Default it is set to bForceNoMovies=FALSE. If you change it to bForceNoMovies=TRUE, then you will skip the movies that come directly after the splash screen. Maybe your splash screen hangs cos it can't load the movies.

That is normal AFAIK. Same here on my pc.
