Every time I try to change my settings to go higher (from high to ultra and enabling DOF and occlussion and such) the settings don't save and they continue to be the same as before. Any way to fix this?

1. First thing to check is whether you have a Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame folder. If not install the RO2Redist.exe which can be found in Steam\steamapps\common\red orchestra 2\Binaries\windows folder.

2. Next, make sure you have write permission in your Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame folder and nothing inside it is marked read only.

I had this issue too for some time back. For me it turned out that Avast anti-virus was sandboxing ROGame.exe. As a result all setting changes got saved in the sandox copy of the ini files and not in the true ini files. Adding ROGame.exe to the sandbox exception did solve the problem for me.
