Big freeze when joining a server

I have an Ati and have the same problem, it takes 1:30 mins to load up until i can finaly select my team and class.

I have a somewhat similar bug.

The first time I join try to join a server I have to download CGT assets, then at 100% that download fails. Then anytime I try to join a server I load all the way in see the map then the welcome screen and immediately get disconnected.

I did try deleting my cache, but the same thing happened over again.

I deleted everything and downloaded/reinstalled the game and everything is working now.

I have always had a small freeze/lag the moment I join a server. With the latest big patch, it got a second longer.

This freeze makes it impossible for me to play the first round on SD. Not sure why this patch introduced this issue, but it certainly did. It doesn't happen to me when playing offline, only when loading the welcome screen on a server.

Can we get some specs on the type of systems where the issue is most noticable, so we can try and see if we can get the issue to happen reliably around here.

I deffinity have a freeze while joining a server./ map change.

Specs, NVidia GeForce 310m, 8gigs of ram, cpu is 1.73 with turbo boost up to 2.9, windows 7

Try to delete the Red Orchestra folder in your documents. It worked for me.

I have the same problem with the welcome screen. I also think that the game start takes a bit longer since the last update.

I freeze every damn time in the server welcome screen when the map chages. It takes about 8-15 seconds to continue and sometimes it crashes the whole game.

Yay! on top of this I started getting PB kicks, reinstalling didnt fix it. FUKCING PB AND EVENBALANCE; F U

I just want to mention this again, for me, this is very very similar to the pause after entering a server when using the Immersion Overhaul Mutator before the update. Video freeze only, still had sound. Before the update it only happened with IOM. Mildly annoying for maybe five seconds, but it has no affect on gameplay since its before my first spawn.

hard drives defragged weekly

After a hard drive failure (or more appropriately, a BAD SATA cable, drive ended up being fine...) and another new hard drive.

I still have this issue, although it is minor and exactly as I described above.

I always had this issue pretty much, you load in, see the entire map frozen for 3 seconds on it's lowest graphic/texture details, and than after selecting class, it stutters a tiny bit because you see all the high res textures loading in... Deleting the RO folder in documents never helped.

Minor issue for me since its only about five seconds, but I will say that delay is still in the game after this last update.

For me the delay is something between 15 and 20 sec. Enough time to guarantee me the rifleman spot. I tend to believe this "bug" is intended so everybody would be doomed to play as rifleman instead with the "nicer" classes rofl
