RO2 as MMO game?

In my opinion, RO2 is gonna be to the FPS genre, what GW2 is gonna be to the MMO genre. Mainly because the makers (Tripwire Interactive) are really innovating and also thinking from the gamer's perspective when making it. One also can't deny the awesome support for the community since they started making games. Both games have also been a long time in development.

Even if this is an MMO community, and this game is not too well known yet (due to the fact that Tripwire is an independent studio), I'm surprised there is no thread about it at all in here, considering how much of a masterpiece its gonna be. So I'm just spreading the word. =)

Interesting!

Polish computer hardware forum where I try put all most important informations about game. I wrote there also new thread about The Ball game.

how much of a monthly fee will this game require? will we have crafting and an auction house?

GW2 doesn't have any monthly fee. The changes of the guildwars franchise were exactly that there is no monthly fee and no grinding. With a world that actually changes around your actions and reacts to it. Which is exactly why it was used as an example.

Actually RO2 has something common with MMORPG

Player character progress - check
Player does something to be better, gain awards, levels, to reach Hero status - check
There is some kind unlock system - check
Player can upgrade his stuff - check

It isn't classic MassiveMO game cause max number of player on one server is 64, but MMORPG's raids or instances are for 10-50 (I don't know correct number there) players too.

+ that what Zets said.

Small discussion about RO/RO2 @ AA3 forum
http://forum.americasarmy.com/viewtopic.php?t=315480&page=2

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad.

Also, watch it not. The First RO used Unreal Engine 2.0, and while the design was epic, they failed with the netcode and "realistic features"

You can watch videos of a person firing a gun point blank into someones face and it not hitting. So yeah, good game. They're a small indie studio, they'll most likely have a budget along the same as the Military had for AA3. They have a Team with less experience with the Unreal Editor than AA's Team, even.

While it's a game I intend to buy, it is not the equivalent of AA3. [TOS Violation] no, Red Orchestra 2 is a World War 2 FPS Shooter with Gameplay that is not even CLOSE to AA3.

They've made it look like UT2004, ugly graphics. Hard to believe it's UT3 Engine, looks UT2004.

Nothing like AA3. It's a huge, Battlefield like experience. You get Vehicles, large maps, capture the flag modes.

He forgot to add that AA3 is total failure, full of bugs and was fully sponsored by US Army :p

That lot just make me want to take up arms... I thought the world had put the Nazis down once already...

This is the one forums i would support active trolling on :p
I like how most of the retards on there probably never even met a coloured person themselves and base their 'feelings' of 'patriotism' on ignorant propaganda. Bunch of sheeple, those.
