Scarcity of RO in retail stores

When I bought my copy of RO:OST (this year!), it was in Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, and just about every Gamezone store that I went into. I talked about it so much, I've interested several other people in playing it. But, there's not a copy to be found on any shelf anywhere! And there hasn't been for months.

What gives?

It's never been released in The Netherlands as far as I know. I've never seen it in any store. And it's been more than 1,5 years!

Netherlands must have been excluded from Europe then.
What did we do wrong?

I've seen one copy though, in 1,5 years... It was imported, so it was 50 euro.

Never saw it in any store in Switzerland either.

I baught mine at "Hartmann". Right one day before its actual release.

A friend of mine had to get it via Amazon, because at that time no copy could be found in any store anymore.

I saw some copies right here in the US at my local CompUSA just this week while Christmas shopping. However, it has been some time now since I've seen it at other retailers: Best Buy, Target, etc.

A quick check online showed availability through Amazon and eBay.

Just to let you know TW- a friend of mine wanted to buy it to (dont want it thruw steam-he wants the cd and casing) ,and havent found it in any stores in our area in Norway either...

I've seen RO in lots of stores here in Oslo. Spaceworld, Narvesen Multimedia etc.

Dynabyte sold the UK copy for some time. (every store got 1 or 0 copies of the game ) Although sadly we never had any real distributor for our country.

it featured prominently on the bottom shelf of Game in the UK next to games like pippa funnel, at least in the reading, worcester, birmingham and a couple of london stores...as for the US ive seen one copy in New Jersey since ive been back here.

I can go to Best Buy and they have it in stock. I also know of this one Best Buy that never dumps anything into a bargain bin so they still have things like Warcraft 2, Crimson Skies, and any C&C game ever made in stock... all for $10

In germany its "Koch Media" who released the boxed version...the "special edition" came in a nice box,alongside with a useless manual and you get the stockmaps and tanksinfo sheets on cards....anyways i hoped they had included some kind of learning video onto the dvd or a "Ostfront" documentary.

I've never seen any boxed version of Red Orchestra in my life (Bavaria, Germany).
And I don't know anybody who ever has.
However, I'm quite happy with the Steam-version I bought right at the first day of the RO Preorder ;-)

I bought my copy in this little story in Belgium 40 km where I live. And I had to pay 42 euros for it.

I got mine (A box and CD version) from Office Depot, not really a well known game carrier, but they tend to have the kind of off market games like RO. Last I saw, they still had some on the shelves. Btw, I am in the US, so they do exist...

In the state of Queensland Australia , population over 4 million I couldn't find a shop stocking it when it came out so I ordered the box from another state .

The state I ordered it from has a population of 8 million they had 1 store stocking it ffs.

We love the game but it was so badly marketed here, most people only hear of it by word of mouth.

Get it in shops here for 20 bucks and we will push it in all our gaming forums .

I've seen a bunch of Special Editions in EB games around Canada...well that's how I got RO anyways.
