This is my first post on this forum... so Hello Everyone

I'm new to 3D modeling and I want to share with you with my first model ever

It has got over 836,000 polygons and 1,830,000 triangles



Those renders have been taken a week ago, since this time I've re-modeled completely tracks and added some details in front of tank - those screenes I'll post later

Very nice. There's a special "insanity" to super-high poly modelling.

Btw, what are you using to model with? How long does it take to render it out and on what machine specs?

I'm using 3D Studio Max 8 for modeling and V-Ray for rendering. Both are making on same machine: AMD Athlon XP 1700+, 768MB DDR and GF6600 256MB, renders took about 30 minutes each (don't remember excatly).

In ww2 poland kept complaining that thier comps couldnt handle all the high poly german tanks on screen at once, then france called hax, and it escalated from there.

That really is an impressive model, especially from a beginner. I'm working on a high poly Jagdtiger, though it's not that good, and I have a short attention span.

I'll update thread probably on Saturday or Sunday becouse I don't have to much time now (school :/) and I had some serious problems with my PC - It burned... my friend yesterday gave me back recovered model files so everything gonna be fine
