Will there be AT Guns? (Merged a gazillion times)

Agreed but please used the search tab we have many threads concerning bring pak guns into the game

http://www.redorchestragame.com/forum/showthread.php?t=893&highlight=guns

http://www.redorchestragame.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13538&highlight=guns

the main problems seems to be that the larger guns like the pak 40 needed 5 peolpe to crew and with only 32 players on the server how do you decide who is in and who is out.
There was also the problem of are they preplaced or can they be moved around somehow or do they spawn randomly?

I would love to see these ingame maybe on The larger tank maps.

Ok they needed 4-5 people operating them but it could be done with in effect a Driver and Gunner/Loader. The Driver obviously controls movement can deploy the gun for firing then Undeploy it for movement. The Gunner would Do the aiming / firing and selecting the HE or AP rounds.

Id love to see them with infantry supporting them on combined arms maps also.

Towing could work like this:

If you operate it alone, you cannot tow it and it takes longer to reload. When there are more soldiers at the AT-Artillery, one man (Commander?) can "undeploy" it and then steer it with WASD, as long as the other crewmembers keep a distance of max. 1-2m to the gun.

So one person can steer the gun while 1 or 2 more have to be near (really near) it, otherwise the gun will only be able to rotate or be simply deployed again.

hehe thats basically the idea I had posted several pages back. I agree with this idea.
Gunner: He shoots the gun and sets the range, he has three views. One this through the sight, 2 is looking over the blast shield and 3 is looking down at the hand crack you would need to turn to set the ranges.
Spotter: This guy has 2 views: with bincos and without, he spots the targets and tells everyone else. Having him greatly decreases your load times.
Mover: this person is really and option. he would decreases your load times but other then that all he does is move the gun. Now since these guns were very having (atleast the big ones which would be needed) moving it would really just involve spining it in place. So the gun would act like the stug or SU76 in that it can only move left or right a tiny amount so you would need to be spinning the gun around to target the tanks. So for the most party all the guns would be preplace, maybe in a semi random position with the AT gunner class spawning beside it. Now with the mover he is really just driving the gun and choosing the direction but you need all 3 people on the gun for it to move.

The only problem with "mannable" 88's is that it would take half your team to man it properly. Take a look at any picture of an 88's in action.

Even a small Pak35/36 "doorknocker" takes a few guys just to move around and lug ammo, etc.

Mmmm adding new classes? Like u added tanks crew, adding some "artillery crew classes" only to manage deployable guns ... and needing at least a truck to move them around.

Should be nice to see infantry defending theyr arty pieces.

Lol i would like was so easy to implement always new stupp for u developer teams ... but as somebody said: u 'll change the rules and fashion of the online war games forever with all this ideas :)
