A screen shot from Lock On Flaming Cliffs:

... and back to FC2.0:

F-15C VS F-15J (actually it is just a skin, but the J is very similar to the C)

Some old screen shots from my Lock On Air Supremacy video. USA and Ukraine = friendly/human. Russian = enemy/AI. Most of the enemy aircraft where MIG-31s and MIG-25s, though there where a few MIG-29s as well. Friendly aircraft comprised of F-15Cs, Su-27Bs and MIG-29S.

R-33:

You can see the R-33 on my RWR (circle display) as well as the R-33 smoke trail in the distance:

While the graphics are dated in some aspects, it is hard to believe that they date back to 2003. There where a few minor updates, but the graphics engine has largely remained the same. Amazing how good they still look.

Played with 8x AA and 8x AF of course. ;)

Lock-On was way ahead if it's age graphically. With the latest A-10C it's just awesome.

BTW I used to spend hours in the editor, making AI planes and ships duke it out in a gigantic combat. This game simulates missiles and armament so well :D

I think the ships are a little too effective at intercepting missiles. Nevertheless it is very fun watching a huge battle take place. Left Alt + Number Pad + (if I am correct) enables you to swatch every weapon that is fired, including shells. Some of the naval artillery shells go up to 10 or so KM before they start to come back down to earth. Simply amazing to watch. DCS A-10 seems to improve the tanks to include them popping smoke. I would pay an extra $10 or so if they update FC2 to FC3 with the DCS A-10 engine.

Which reminds me, I have to get DCS A-10!

Lovely screenshots Flogger! :)
Thanks. :)
