New Weapons Discussion (Merged)

Pak

Pak

It bothers me that we can't use the anti tank guns. Any of these German models would be good.
-3.7-cm Pak 35/36
-5-cm Pak 38
-7.5-cm Pak 40

The Soviets had
-45-mm M1942
-76.2-mm ZiZ-3 also known as 7.62-cm Pak 36(r)

It would also be nice to see some of the following:
-Marder 3
-SdKfz 10 (Mabe the option to toe the Pak 38 to be deployed any where)
-Panzerspahwagen SdKfz 231 (Armored Car)
-Panzerspahwagen SdKfz 222 (Armored Car)
-21-cm Wurfgranate 42 (Rockets)
-M-13 132 mm Rocket (Soviet)

But most of all I'd like the see some anti tank guns in action.

What new weapons would you like to see?

Some weapons that should be in RO.......

Some weapons that should be in RO.......

I got to thinking it would be great to have the fallowing weapons in the game:

Russians:

SG-43 weeled mounted MG:

http://world.guns.ru/machine/mg35-e.htm

This gun was used by the Russians as a stationary MG. Lots of power and a big muzzle flash. Would be a cool stationary weepon on some infantry maps.

PTRS-41 anti-tank rifle:

http://www.smallarmsreview.com/pdf/antitank.pdf

Used along side the PTRD-41 but was loaded with 5 round box magazines instead of single rounds.

Any of these Russian hand grenades would be cool:

Germans:

Panzerscherck rocket louncher:

http://homepage.eircom.net/~nightingale/panzerschreck.html

Used by the Germans in WW2. Many of them came with optional blast shields, and were used to great effect on Allied tanks, and for busting down walls or bunkers.

PanzerBuchse-39 Anti-tank rifle:

http://www.smallarmsreview.com/pdf/may03.pdf

Used by the germans at the start of the war. Still it would be good to have on some maps where the germans would be low of stocks of Panzerfousts.

What difference is it to you? You don't have to be a jerk. If you don't like a topic, don't read it or reply to it. It will sort itself out in the end.

As for your suggestions Gunwing, you did a fairly good job researching them. I'm not sure how much use or thrill additional grenades and a german anti-tank rifle would be, though. Although, those german magnetic anti-tank grenades would be very welcome and realistic, especially if they replaced the satchel charges with them.

There is only a 6 page thread on this exact topic, no harm in doing a quick search and adding to it, in 6 pages I'm pretty sure all these guns have been covered.

If you don't like a topic, don't read it or reply to it.

If I don't like a topic, I'll post my opinions regardless on why I don't like it. But on this forum repeat threads are discouraged.

Off-topic, read at own risk:

I just don't get why people reply with "Search" or "Repost" or whatever. It seems to me that they are upset about having their time wasted by having to read an old topic. If that's true, what sense does it make to take the time to reply?

If they are mad about "cluttering-up" the forum space, why bump the thread? Just let it sink down into the dark depths of page 2.

My point is, if you're going to take the time to reply and at the same time bump the thread, you might as well not be rude. If you're really so high-strung that a repost-poster angers you to the point that you have to post a rude comment, you've been trolling at the forum too long. Get up from your chair and go outside.

Yup...I'm REAL ANGRY at this thread grrrrr  . It took all of 10 seconds to post SEARCH...big waste of time there....and I posted 1 minute after the thread was created, the thread wasn't going to get any higher if I posted. I don't even think it was that rude, but it is funny how some people can just throw things out of proportion and are ready to pounce at a moments notice. I seriously doubt you would have tooken any difference if I had said "Hey buddy, use seach next time." You would probably think I was being rude as well.

I'm not exactly sure, but I think this thread was at the bottom of page 1 or at page two without any further replies, yet you feel perturbed enough to post your comments about me, which I found rude as well. So get off your high horse Mr. Do Right and stop being a hypocrite.

Discussion over

Hey, I'm new but this is actually an area that interests me since I have thought of some weapons while playing that would be cool to see used on the battlefield. Someone also mentioned the thought of a "Secret Weapons" type thing which I think is a neat idea. My only suggestion would be to have them hidden on the map somewhere to make people have to really want to fight for objectives since they know that in towns there are cooler guns.

Soviet:
Cossack Shashka (Perhaps for a map where the dismounted Cossacks fought)
Molotov Cocktails
Siminov AVS-36
Nagant M1895 Revolver
SG-43 Gorunov (Heavy Machine Gun)
PTRS-41 (Anti-Tank Rifle)

German:
Entrenching Tool (a.k.a. "The Infamous Spade")
MP41
Mauser C96
FG42 (For Fallschirmjagergewehr maps)
Maschinengewehr ZB-26 (Heavy MG used after Czechoslovakian Occupation)
Flammenwerfer 35 (Flamethrower)
Haftholladung 3H (Magnetic Mine)
Granatb

Working anti-tank guns (Pak40s, Flak18s, etc.).

Right now, we have them as statics on maps, but can't man them.
This bring up an issue of who would be able to use them...How would a basic infantry man have the know-how to use one? If that were to happen i think that only the tankers should be able to fire them...You have an awsome idea and i like it...and its been addressed before.
But i still feel that not everyone should be able to use them.
Just like infantry cant man tanks...
