Now that the game is out we should start adding mod ideas and requests that should be made. Modding is the most exciting part of games that can increase enjoyment by improving what is already there. Note that this is strictly for mod ideas and not for map ideas. I would like to categorize the ideas with tags so that it will be easy to find; if there is a tag missing I would add. Use a following tag where possible: weapon, apparel, ui, creature, mechanic, and feature. If you do not know which tag to choose use the feature tag. Below are Mutator ideas made by forum-goers that appear in this thread. It will have this format:

Adds a keybind that toggles the trader pathing arrows at any time.

Adds a reload circle where reticle is that slowly fills up as you reload your gun then changes colors indicating that reloading is complete and then disappears.

Explosive Cyst (Killtrocity)
Adds an Orange-like Cyst with ember particles to squads that explode upon death.

a cool mod where you can see exactly how much you were doing with each hit. Could be tweaked so that it just displays the total damage in a combo.

It seems that the AK-12 has higher recoil than SCAR with is ridiculous. It could be balance in different way for example by lowering damage and stuff like that. Other gun stats are wrong as well. I am not for tough realism but if gun stats had relistic touch, combined with awesome animations and gun feel it could create very enjoyable gunplay. So how about Realistic weapons mod ?

I don't know how anyone else feels about this and I know it wasn't a mutator in the first game or if tripwire plans to add it themselves again but I would love to see a return of the HSG-1 shotgun for the support specialist. Would prefer if the weight was 5 at most because I don't want to spec into +5 weight to use it but this was my ideal secondary in KF1. The magazine reload was much more efficient on smaller zeds than using a regular shotgun/combat shotgun and it was pretty cheap as well.

AA-12 + HSG-1 in KF2 would make my day.

I'd wait till all 10 perks are added and the first waves of balance changes before adding the realistic weapons mod thing. It might be better to make a thread on the general discussion board about how weapons 'feel' at the moment whether over powered or not.

Nazi Zombies with guns, because Hans would definitely want some of his allies back to do his bidding, so they can party like it's 1941.
