I joined a new game and chose my weapon and as I was waiting for the game to open, I received a message stating that the weapon I chose was just taken by someone with a field commission and I was to chose another.
What the H*LL is that all about? Been play a long time and never have I seen this.

If a person performs well enough in a round (I'm not sure about what specifically they have to achieve) they will get a Battlefield Commission either during the start of a new round or in the middle of an ongoing round. With this they can select any class they wish to on the team, and if the class is currently full it will boot out someone from that class to make space.

I believe it will even kill you if taken during match

harrr, i got commander role several times due to battlefield promotion lol. The dude that had it before didnent do much and complained a lot when i got it.but the team was relived since from than on they got smoke and arty support....so funny...bauahahaha

But this was at the start of a new game. I too have receive many battlefield commissions in games, but this was at the start of an entirely new game. Strange?

IT DOES NOT KILL THE PLAYER WHO LOOSES CLASS. before anybody assumes and get's outraged and I think it can only take commander class if he is dead but not sure on this (doesn't let me bat comm commander slot whenever i've tried maybe because of this)

It can carry over from the previous map. Which is what happened to you.

This system makes no f-in sense. If a person is doing perfectly well with one class, why on Earth would he need another one!?

yes i usually decline it too because i would feel bad ^^, i would choose the commander if i knew i would better than him but i never played commander so there is nobody worse than me

A lot of servers have this feature turned off. Tell your server admin to turn it off. Easy fix.

Agreed.... its annoying and virtually useless.
