What happened to the death moans and such?

I made an account just so I could BUMP this thread. I knew something was missing in the game that made my beta experiences awesome.

Since I read this thread I knew, it was the immersion, Please bring back the death cries, as it all adds to what a real war is all about. Now people are just silently twitching, and it is absurd.

I do not understand why tripwire has removed such an important part of what makes red orchestra special.

I do hope cod fanboys are not to blame for this...

I've not heard the more gruesome moans and lamentations as of late.
Did they prove too much?
People can have fun shooting people but can't listen to them dying?
For me I think it gave the game another dimension and a little bit of understanding what it is that we sit and do for fun...

The way death is handled in this game is one of the best things about it. It just makes thing /that/ much more real and believeable. I really hope this feature hasnt been deactivated.
We need a dev to tell us whats going on here.

I too would like some feedback on this issue. Obviously, with all the balancing and optimization that's going on you probably won't have time to deal with this right away, but a comment showing that you are aware of this change and will fix it later (or one showing that its a placebo effect) would be greatly appreciated.

bump, this was a feature I loved, especially in countdown where there were always a few seconds of just straight gunfire and then silence. And from that silence rose the sounds of the wounded and dying before they too slowly petered out. It was incredibly atmospheric.

Please don't tell me this is removed / dimmed down.
That would be rather depressing as it was one of my selling points while showing friends. Hearing a soldier weep for his mother while I held a Luger to his forehead made the entire room go : O ! And "I wanna' buy this.."

Guys, I found a way to fix this. As a previous post suggested, go to My documents, My games and delete the red orchestra 2 file. You'll have to reset all your settings, but its worth it. :IS2: So yes, it must be a bug.

I had this problem go to documents/my games/redorchestra2 delete it and let steam update you should get the voices back

as usually i can here 1 voice per side, the final result of this bug is that battlefield feels empty since 2/3 of shouts are cut off

Yes bring it back TWI! what's wrong with you. RO 2 is turning way too much arcadish and it's gonna lose COD and BF3 will own it. RO 2 has to stay realistic.
