The game should have used the SA-80 as the bullpup, it's the assault rifle of the British army.

Also, people who complin about the AK-47 and other because they aren't British, you can find foreign guns over here, we're no some gun-patriotic country that shuns other country's heat.. Anyway, perhaps you could change the minigun to a chaingun that can only fire when mounted, making it devastating to use, but also making you vulnerable and making its use limited.

And the L22 is the carbine of the British army.

I was always under the impression that guns were very, very, very controlled items in Britain, and in a scenario like KF there would be tons of L85/22's around compared to, say, AKs or Mac-10s.

Maybe in Ireland they'd have a lot of AR-18s :D

Anyway, perhaps you could change the minigun to a chaingun that can only fire when mounted, making it devastating to use, but also making you vulnerable and making its use limited.
As I keep saying in the "mounted machine gun" threads, even if it had setup time, and long reload, and on and on and on, it would still be very easy to set six people up with them covering a door or hallway.

It's not too hard to acquire guns in this country, you just need a license, like driving.

You also can't possess semi-autos of any kind, pistols, shotguns over a certain capacity, etc. etc...

Even canada is more free than Britian. I'm still jealous of the US, though.

I think the only weapons that would be legal are the lever-action and the crossbow.

I, for one, am not a fan of really anything suggested in the poll (cept maybe the PLR-16), but I would love to see some sort of battle rifle, a bren gun, and a pistol between the 9mm and the DEAGLE BRAND DEAGLE, maybe in 10mm auto.

They sound pretty obsolete in a zombie game, the freaks eing generally unaffected by pain an these trench knuckles sounding like they have little permanent damage peotential.

Apparently you didn't read the description for them. The blade on the end was made for a powerful, downward strike, like clubbing someone with your fist, but with a steel covered fist....with a 4 inch blade or so at the bottom.

The human skull is one of the most resilient structures in nature. The trench knuckle can penetrate through a solid steel helmet, and a human skull, into the brain, with an incredibly quick and simple strike.

I do wish I would have put up bayonet as opposed to the knuckes though. I'm going to make an "updated" thread, using some of the feedback from here.

ok, I've been having immense trouble starting a new thread with an updated poll, so I'm going to modify the first post here.

OPTIONS HAVE BEEN CHANGED [sort of] A complete tally of all choices, including those who didn't vote because their option didn't exist (and now does) is pending.

:D
I have a Romanian AK with 30-round magazines, a tactical-fitted 12 gauge in my closet, and a 9mm Glock with 17-round magazines loaded and chambered next to my bed (I live alone--no kids in the house) plus four more loaded mags in the bedside table and I didn't need some silly "license" for any of it, unless you consider the Second Amendment a license. I did have to get a concealed handgun license to be able to carry the Glock with me, though, but in some states, you can openly carry a handgun (although very few people do).

You also can't possess semi-autos of any kind, pistols, shotguns over a certain capacity, etc. etc...

It boggles my mind how most countries have made having a weapon with which you can actually defend yourself (ie: keeping it loaded, having decent magazine capacities, etc) a crime.

Going out in the woods and shooting furry animals is okay in most places, but being able to defend yourself against a violent assailant who may intend to kill and/or rape you and your family is not?

I don't like any of these suggestions to be honest.

As anyone who plays a specific game with a LOT of weapons knows, adding more and more and more and more weapons is not the answer. In my case I used to play a HL1 mod called The Specialists and it had plenty of weapons. Instead of adding "flavor" to the game, many of the weapons felt interchangeable or were so weak they were useless, and the game was plagued by balance problems up until the bitter end.

In my opinion the loadout in Killing Floor doesn't need MORE MORE MORE interchangeable weapons, but interesting and unique is indeed welcome.

Before you suggest your favorite boner-inducing gun, THINK about what it would do in the game. Is it substantially different or fills a different niche than the other guns? If not, then why put it in? I really like subscribe to the Unreal Tournament theory of FPS weapons: different weapons fill different roles, none of them are interchangeable. Now that's an over the top scifi game that doesn't take itself to seriously, a more "realistic" game won't have that by nature, but we can still try to emulate it.

Think, why does the P90 have to go in? Wouldn't it just be a bullpup with 10 more shots?

Why must we add a minigun in every FPS ever? The idea of man-portable miniguns has been debunked a million times over. Plus, any implementation of a minigun that's anywhere close to its actual real world effectiveness would break and unbalance any video game. Hence, they get nerfed so hard that... they aren't even fun to use anymore.

Trench knuckles? Stop reading the Zombie Survival Guide or whatever.

Before you say you want to throw in your favorite gun, consider the atmosphere of the game. Killing Floor is not a glamorous, stylish shooter with loads of tacticool flavor. It's supposed to be a depressing, gritty and bleak romp through the most forbidding places in Britain against the most despicable zombie chavs. Given that, weapons that look too "new" or "futuristic" should be left out, in my opinion. The lever action and crossbow fit in perfectly, a pimped out polymer assault rifle or SMG doesn't.

Short version: Don't try to pollute the game with more boring or interchangeable guns. Consider carefully what kind of weapon would fill a role and fit into the game.

For all your bluster and downtalking...you don't have a single constructive thing to say, or "non game watering down, realistic, gritty romping, makes you get a boner" weapon to suggest.

So please, before you speak, consider if what you will say will make you look like a condescending elitist ***.

Says a guy who signs his posts.

Besides, he had a valid point - We can clamor for new guns till we're blue in the face, it doesn't mean that adding redundant new guns for the sake of adding redundant new guns is a good thing.

Laser weapons can be gritty looking, like a weapon that is made from scraps with lots of rusty metal.

as for the the interchangablitity. It can be the redeemer or BFG of KF: does a ****load of damage but you can only shoot it a couple of times before it runs out and it's really expensive, like you can only get it if your team gives you extra money.
