i haven't got one lately either. i was talking with a guy last night, who got one yesterday, that borked his game. he had to wipe and redownload 2 gig. so be prepared to download again if your game doesn't work after it's done. 
are you set to opt out of the beta? the guy i talked with last night wasn't and he had to opt out and then download that 2 gig to get the game working again.

I did that and then I realized that Steamworkshop was implemented and was pretty surprised how it worked though it doesn't let you play multi so I have to remove the beta.

The current opt-in beta is for testing Workshop integration. It's a different version than the live build, so you won't be able to connect to any servers.sorry. what?
