Soldier and his weapon

Personally, I prefer success in the game to be dependent upon the RL players' skill and his/her skill alone.. not because of rank bonuses which add abilities other players may not have (as eluded to in the most recent article). When everyone has the same abilities, it's much more satisfying if you've been a major factor in the game, knowing it was you who made the right decisions and not some artificial add-on that gave you an advantage.. on the flip-side, it's also much more satisfying to know that you were held down by a team of players who are bound by the same exact variables as you are... as opposed to having people on the field who dont suffer as much gun sway as you do for example.

When it comes to clan play, I hope we can turn any advantage giving add-on's off so we can all compete on a level playing field so to speak..

If being a 'Hero' simply means your character looks more grizzly and he may have a newer rifle, then that wont really affect gameplay the way less recoil or sway might effect things. I really hope that being a 'Hero' is nothing more than cosmetic.

Having less recoil and sway or faster reloading with time is actually realistic. Why? Because when you're practicing with guns you get better at shooting. It's that simple.

If you're exposed loud noises and stress for a prolonged time, your body gets used to it. You actually get faster at reloading your weapon under stressful situations.

In real life, it's a progressive refinement of your autonomic nervous system forced by the constantly changing environment. It's a subconscious process that involves the integration of your various subselves.

For the sake of fairness we all have to start with the same body and nervous system in game. So all differences must come down to another factor, time. Or more precisely, stuffs you're supposed to do during your time in game to improve your bonuses. But understand, your bonuses are still based on decision you made in the past, just like in real life.

Ok but then every time you die you should be reset as then you're a different soldier then ;)

Tbh personally for the fun factor I wouldn't have big issues with stat stuff, as long as it doesn't get too extraordinary.

However for competitive play it is important to be able to freeze all stats at an equal level server wise. Aka in a competitive match both teams must have exactly the same chance at success (for that reason you always play as axis and allies on a map).
