Like the title says, game crashes immediately after I fire my first shot. Is there a solution to this?

I am having the same issue! I haven't been able to find an answer for it either. I have tried re validating my files and that doesn't work, also it only seems to happen when i fire from iron sights.

Any proprietary mouse, or mouse drivers? If so, try uninstalling the associated program, reboot, Windows will install Windows mouse drivers, try that. If doesnt work, try updating sound drivers, if that doesnt work, try uninstalling on board sound drivers, reboot, Windows will install Windows sound drivers. Report back, please.

I tried uninstalling my logitech software, as I use a g13 game pad and a g700s mouse, and that did not work. I also uninstalled my sound drivers, but that didnt work either. Im trying to update my drivers now though and I'll have to report back on that later today.

Im curious, you use a game pad and a mouse, both plugged in at same time? Maybe remove the game pad. (just for this game) I originally mentioned the mouse drivers, as a year or so ago I had problems with my Logitech mouse (in RO2), uninstalled the Logitech drivers, never looked back.

I tried updating my realtek drivers to no avail. I may have not done it right though, as i tried overwriting my original drivers, or updating them. Is there a specific way to update sound drivers?
Also, it would kind of suck to not be able to use my g13 game pad as it was kind of expensive and i have grown to it. I'll try removing it from the usb port though.

New information on this matter has made me believe my problem is not isolated to RO2, I am now aving the same issues in arma 3 and dayz SA. Arma 2 seems to work fine though. I havent tested any other games, but I think it might have something to do with my video drivers, or i have a bad virus? Any help would be appreciated. I am stumped.

Okay, so i found out my problem. I had my wired xbox 360 controller plugged in and it was interfereing with my logitech drivers or something. I simply unplugged the controller(xbox 360) and everyhting worked fine. Thanks, I hope this helps someone.
