I got the DCS P-51 a while back, and it is rather fun to fly. I would like to get into this, but I fear it will follow the Rise of Flight pricing model which I don't agree with. Charging with field mods or weapon mods, ect.
The engine (in RoF) runs very smoothly for me and is rather optimized, yet I don't like the mission editor. Maybe this will change in BoS. On the other hand, DCS's engine is dated but I like the mission editor. DCS: WWII will use the new Edge engine, which may optimize it to RoF engine standards. And I already have a P-51D for it...
Good news is both games take place in different areas, so there is justification to buy both. Though I might end up just getting modern stuff for DCS provided more planes come out for it.
