Hi,

Today I have a few questions about the file input.ini, before I made this post I did a lot a research so I have found probably all Google answers, so please, I'm asking to guys which truly knows what they are talking about (maybe Like UE3 codders) not just a copy past from an other website. So we need reply with some explanations :)

But firstly what's input.ini ?

It's the file where all settings about game peripheral are set, in some way it's the communication plateform between your peripherals and Ro2.

My questions are about some unknown options and their action on the game.

ok so let start...

[Engine.PlayerInput]
MoveForwardSpeed=1200
MoveStrafeSpeed=1200
LookRightScale=300
LookUpScale=-250
MouseSensitivity=18.000000
MoveForwardSpeed=1200
MoveStrafeSpeed=1200 <---- Dont know what this options do

LookRightScale=300
LookUpScale=-250 <---- Dont know what this options do : seems to change the speed feeling when you set it both to 0

MouseSensitivity=18.000000 <--- this is the default sensitivity of the game, I wonder if we have to prefer to let it by default and use the settings of our mouse software because I heard that in some game to have a ratio of 1:1, is this the case on ro2 ??

[ROGame.ROConsolePlayerInput]
bViewAccelerationEnabled=TRUE
bDebugViewAcceleration=FALSE
bTargetFrictionEnabled=TRUE
bDebugTargetFriction=FALSE
ViewAccel_YawThreshold=0.990000
ViewAccel_DiagonalThreshold=0.990000
ViewAccel_BaseMultiplier=1.100000
ViewAccel_TimeToHoldBeforeFastAcceleration=0.210000
ViewAccel_RampSpeed=0.050000
ViewAccel_MaxTurnSpeed=1.250000
ViewAccel_Twitchy=0.980000
MagicScaleForSensitivityMiddle=2.400000
MagicScaleForSensitivityEdge=1.500000
ViewAccel_PitchThreshold=0.660000
ViewAccel_LookingUpOrDownBoundary=12000.000000
ViewAccel_BackToCenterBoundary=3000.000000
ViewAccel_BackToCenterSpeed=2.800000
AutoPitchCenterSpeed=0.200000
AutoPitchStopAdjustingValue=5.000000
LeftThumbStickDeadZoneThreshold=0.000000
RightThumbStickDeadZoneThreshold=0.000000
MoveForwardSpeed=1200.000000
MoveStrafeSpeed=1200.000000
LookRightScale=400.000000
LookUpScale=-250.000000
bViewAccelerationEnabled=TRUE <---- Is it a sort of acceleration that all professional players disable ?

MoveForwardSpeed=1200.000000 <----\
MoveStrafeSpeed=1200.000000 <----|
LookRightScale=400.000000 <----|
LookUpScale=-250.000000 <---- Again this series of incomming option :confused:

[ROGame.ROPlayerInput]
KeyboardDefaults=0
ZoomedSensitivityScalar=0.350000
bEnableXBoxController=False
MoveForwardSpeed=1200.000000
MoveStrafeSpeed=1200.000000
LookRightScale=300.000000
LookUpScale=-250.000000

ZoomedSensitivityScalar=0.350000 <---- This is the sensitivity of your sight when you're aiming seem's to be a pourcentage of the "MouseSensitivity=" example 0.35 to 18 = 35% of 18

MoveForwardSpeed=1200.000000
MoveStrafeSpeed=1200.000000
LookRightScale=300.000000
LookUpScale=-250.000000 <---- Again this series of incomming optiom :confused:

So I hope some erudit could answer this questions :)

Thks you a lot and see you soon inGame ;)

The movement speed things are irrelevant i believe when using a keyboard.

The acceleration setting is in the UE3 input setting and not the ROGame input setting i believe, so that is pretty much not affecting the game either.

The mouse speed ones are indeed correct and that second slider is indeed a multiplier, which can be quite annoying as if you change the top slider in game, your ironsight speed changes as well.
