I'd like the see a Korean War mod for a variety of reasons, first among them is that most of the weaponry/vehicles are the same as WW2, but with a few new/more widespred examples M46 Patton for example. There was a ton of cool late/post WW2 tech used in Korea that would set it apart from WW2 games.

While Korea in the summer doesn't look a whole lot different from other Pacific based shooters, dont forget about the winter, when my dad was in Korea he knew a few people that lost feet to frostbite. That is something that hasn't been shown before, aside from aliens being involved.

Also the Korean war is largely forgotten/ignored by most Americans, and having a game do justice to the bravey of those who fought is overdue (compared to other wars, we can get back to WW1 later).

If ppl who want to see a korean war mod and have something to contribute i honestly think it might be an idea to start out by contributing to the vietnam mod IC.
I'm sure i saw the hint dropped by one of the team that they would consider moving into other theatres of post ww2 pre modern period, and if it gains momentum and a decent following - i think that could be a good chance to see korean war come to life.

I guess most experienced modders around here are already attached to a team - certainly the case with IC - so experience and advise can be picked up (as well as possible shared assets) by a breakaway group even if the main mod team doesn't intend to cover Korea.

I don't speak for IC of course - but i'd like to see korea as much as vietnam myself and it might be worth making enquries.

Isn't reviving old threads better than posting new threads on topics that have already been discussed? Better to have everything in one thread, than 20-30 different threads on the same subject. Just because the OP may have not followed through, doesn't mean there wasn't interest, and maybe someone else did, or will.

To be honest if a mod developer doesn't update something for nearly a year it means it's dead. (I know that because I'm a mod developer that didn't update something for more than a year)
Well, I've been following the development of a Winter War themed mod for Arma for over 5 years and the mod was been developed for over 5 years before that. The last progress updates were almost from 2 years ago, but in last month one of the developers announced that the mod is on a verge of an alpha release. Some things are worth waiting for :D

But for this mod there wasn't been a hint of communication for all that time. I think I know what mod you are talking about for arma and the developers of that mod were at least still around on other forums talking about things every now and again. Even though it usually wasn't related to the mod.
