There's no way the devs will remove this.

They've categorically stated they will NOT be changing gameplay based on what people say on this forum.

If they themselves decide it's a bad feature then maybe, after the raft of other things that need fixing.

It doesn't need to be removed, the ability for it to be disabled on the server side just needs to work. Puggy pointed out the function is not working at the moment on his server. I haven't noticed it myself but I will look for it when next in game.

And Gudenrath changing to custom will not lose your server ranking however you need to be careful what settings you do change when under custom as some of the settings can make you lose ranking. Setting that can impact on ranking are marked with two chevrons.

Agreed. For me, the exploitation of it in instances like smoke sure make it a bit much.
