Custom Map Crash In-Game

I made a very basic map in KF2 SDK but whenever I load the map in-game it crashes.

PlayerStarts, paths and spawns are set.

Well, I could start from scratch but there must be a solution to this.

The log says

Can't bind to native class UnrealEd.GroupActor

is the reason for the crash but since I have zero experience with UE I don't know what this means or how to solve it. I was just wondering, if someone more experienced than me knows what's up.

I used the SDK's Exterior template and started creating my map on there, deleting all the old assets. Maybe that's the problem?

I just made a similar map from scratch without using a template. It worked perfectly for a while in-game but after working on it a bit more the same exact error occured again.

I don't know what caused this and tried to undo most of the stuff and desperately deleting stuff that may have caused this but no luck.

Come on, there must be someone who knows what may cause this error.

I know this may not help you a ton, but I was rebuilding my map from scratch and it worked fine. Until, I decided I wanted to add in a few more KFSpawners, the next thing I know my map stopped working.


I searched a bit on the forums and it seems that if you have more than 4 spawners it can start to cause problems.

Yeah, yesterday I managed to get it working again as well after deleting all my SpawnVolumes and Paths. It was kinda late so I didn't feel like updating this thread. Thanks for your input though.

The weird thing is, I already tried that once and I'm pretty sure the error occured once without having any spawns. Maybe I just missed one.

I'm glad I got it working again but I'm still interested in what exactly causes this error since I'm not really keen on loading up my map everytime I set spawn or path and see if it works or not. But I guess I have to deal with it for now.

the issue is with having a GroupActor left in your map when you load it in KF2. this happened to me when i tried to create a combined static mesh out of a bunch of grouped meshes. in case someone else has this problem:

go to View->Browser Windows->Scene

in the filter box search for "groupactor", then select it and click the red X up by the 'F' and 'R'

OH MY GOD

This has been the bane of my existence for about four days now. THANK YOU

Is there any way to remove the groupactors without deleting the actual objects?
