Vietnamese man Pham Ngoc Canh met Ri Young-hui in 1971 when Mr Canh, then a young chemistry student, travelled to North Korea to study. He fell instantly in love with the woman he glimpsed through the door of a laboratory in Hamhung. He recalls: "My first thought was that I wished she would become my wife".

After looking through all the pictures to see the rest of the story, I must agree that is beautiful. Love of that nature is extremely rare, to the point where it might as well be a fairy tale.
