A Little Help for the Medics...

I'm thinking something like this would be better:

Spoiler!

Bonus points if you know where it's from, and how old the source is.

If you had this it could show both specimens and teammates, and have a larger radius per Medic level.

EDIT: make it take up weight

A handheld radar that takes up weight and costs a reasonable amount of cash. Why not. I think its a good idea actually as long as you have to equip it first to see the radar just like in that image CandleJack posted.

People never wanted an actual radar in the HUD because "it ruins the atmosphere" and what not but a handheld device is all different imo.

In fact I think KF needs more tools instead of just more weapons. Stuff like nightvision goggles, glowsticks/flares, that radar thingy, flashlight attachement on your shoulder/head lol... maybe even heatvision goggles for stalkers altho that might be stepping on Commandos toes? And just make them cost a reasonable amount of cash and take up weight so you end up deciding wether you want to buy a backup weapon or a radar instead, or wether you want to waste your spare cash on night vision goggles or safe them to get a scar next round.

Hemi (or someone from the clan I belong to, WPC, I can't recall who exactly, my bad) has created this and you can change how ranged it is. Not sure if they are/have released yet.

I'm not sure if this would be useful enough to be an item to buy at the trader since your squad is generally very close to you at all times. However, I'm all for the idea of having more gadgets opposed to just guns, and this is a nice change of pace from all of the "give medic a new weapon" topics.

With that being said, I wouldn't mind seeing something similar to what the medic has in Team Fortress 2. That is when someone calls for medic and is within a certain distance from you (maybe 30m or so) you see the medic symbol above their head (which shows through walls) and the color depends on their health. Perhaps white if they're healthy, pink for injured, and red for critical.

Aliens (the 2nd Alien movie) from 1986, no?
You know, this would also be a good "gadget" for that other suggested perk, the Agent (the pistolwielding, supportive information-perk) :)

well it happens

well it happens

People shouldn't be seperated, atleast by themselves (it's fine if someone is escorted to go find ammo). But thats the price they pay for ramboing; not being able to rely on the team.

Well it happens sometimes that teams get seperated when the "camp spot" get overrunned or something. and team is scathered. very usefull in those situations.

Another thing.
Wonder how the radar is supose to work when there are more then just more then 1 floor, like on the map KF-office. how are you suppose to see ppl in the third floor and say ur at the ground floor?

Ever play Counter-Strike? There you go.

Also on a semi-related note what exactly separates this Hugo Weaving character from the Gunslinger?

Wont that mean alot of work have to be done to every each map?

I believe its metter making dots that indicate if the player is on a lower or higher ground level than you. like a arrow that shows down or up, and a circle when they re on same level. so it would be a chance this to get added.
