So, just back for paste some new ones:
Mamayev Kurgan:
Red October Factory
Fallen Fighters
Grain Elevator
Train Station
Gumrak
No concrete map but similar ambience...
I'm not really agree with some terms here.
Accuracy of weapons it's ok. Bolt action rifles are ok. I think that starting to change realistic balistics for "balance" game will be bad.
One point is that players (we) have many "aim" an we are so accurate compared to "real" war scenario, where most...
I will add my own:
- New maps with more varied battle styles (preserving the amazing realism).
- More tanks/vehicles (new ones and more per battle, so for that, new maps prepared for it).
- Fixed weapons elements like anti-tanks. Maybe need more than one player for use.
- Mortars teams.
-...
She is Lyudmila Pavlichenko. There were much more womens in the soviet army, much elite marksman ones, aswell some more integrated in the army.
So I think that we don't need "proofs", is largely known that was a fact.
Like a lot this project!
One hint: as you are going to make this one really really historical accurate, give people some for compare, I suposse that you have in mind, but a video-article with a decent historical background and comparasion with many media to the 7 maps will be get into the...
Mmm... not very impressed with this. Part of graphics are ok... the rest of things... well, after RO "real" war WW2 games must effor much more... The few gameplay saw seems not fit really with real war in any case.
Edit: Heroes & Generals - Alpha Videolog 2 - YouTube
Smoke after shoot is cool...
Hello!
I don't know if anyone had realised it, but its one of these small details that fixed will get a strong animation result (and I think that is not difficult).
I meant: specially when soldiers are running, the equipment is immobile, attached to the body and this result too "cartoonised".
I...
I think its a good idea for give more variety and fits hitorically, but what destroys it totally is the bugged ranked and upgrades system.
I meant, a high ranked elite rifleman could get access to the enemy semi-auto, but that's only be rational on 1/15 or 1/20, so again is good idea (like give...
I only hope that the only wars that we will see in the future will be in games simulation like RO... and remembering decades ago wars.
But seems that some countries in this world -and the governments that their citizens vote- doesn't think like me.
I found (not very difficult to do it...) some aerial maps from Stalingrand during battle.
Well, some of them are not recognizable by RO players, but I paste here the urls: http://www.wwii-photos-maps.com/battle-of-stalingrad/Aerial%20Photos/index.html
More accurate...
[TW]Wilsonam I think that many RO players will love to some kind of "dev blog". Maybe not now when you're fixing bugs, etc but could be really nice if people read how did you research original maps and details of how did you made the battle of Stalingrad :)
I added your pics to this post: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?p=919732 where there are many real photos of the maps. Maybe you could check it if you wan't to make more comparasions.
Seems you're the mapper :P
Did you saw this post?: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=57095
I always ask where did you get the real information.
BTW OP photo. I think Station in real life never was so close to the square.
