everyone who keeps crashing please post your system spec (ram and vid card)
We have been having problems with people on low end comps crashing casue of the size of the MyLevel. Hence the packets.

AKA: No Virtual Memory left to load anything so comp crashes
Intel C2D
4GB RAM
nVidia GTX 260
Windows 7 64 bit
DX 9/10/11
Scenario 1
nVidia 197.45 drivers, KF render device "Direct 3D", paging file disabled, extension limit off:
out of virtual memory crash on map load
Scenario 2
nVidia 197.45 drivers, KF render device "Direct 3D", paging file enabled, extension limit on:
texture load crash on map load
Scenario 3
nVidia 258.96 drivers, KF render device "Direct 3D", paging file disabled, extension limit off:
CreateTexture failed(8007000E). crash on map load
Scenario 4
nVidia 258.96 drivers, KF render device "Direct 3D", paging file enabled, extension limit on:
CreateCubeTexture failed(8007000E) crash on map load
Scenario 5:
nVidia 258.96 drivers, KF render device "Direct 3D 9.0", paging file disabled, extension limit off:
successful map load and game play
Observation:
The paging file is a red herring. The virtual memory error is caused by the extension limit off setting in certain scenarios. Even with 32GB pagefile I would receive the virtual memory error. Secondly, extension limit on is definitely for compatibility, and maybe helps some people with certain versions of driver/D3D.

Extension Limit: This option is usually set to Off by default. It indicates whether the driver extension string has been trimmed for compatibility with a particular application (On) or not (Off) for optimal performance and minimal problems. The main use for this setting is in the pre-defined Application Profiles included in the Forceware drivers, in that some games require this to be set to On to prevent problems. In general you shouldn't change this option unless specifically directed to do so. Off is the default and best setting in most cases.
Forcing render device "Direct 3D 9.0" from within KF display options probably solves these crashes for most people, without the need to adjust display drivers. For example, I didn't require extension limit on with Direct 3D 9.0 rendering and nVidia 258.96 drivers.
I hope this info helps. Thank you for the map!
