Battlefield: Bad Company 2

I've given myself the assignment of getting at least the bronze star for every weapon in the game, no matter how much i despise the weapon.
So far i've gotten bronze stars for all the assault and engineer weapons, hard on my way to getting the bronze stars for medic, but probably still a long way away from Recon because i absolutely cannot stand the Vintorez.
The damn thing doesnt seem to accomplish anything, yet i constantly get raped with it.
After that though, it's on to random weapons for no class like G3, shotguns, M1 garand etc.
Pistols i do along the way with all the other classes.
And at the end of the road, there's a shiney badge waiting :D
Somehow i doubt many people will get it because most are to obsessed with 40mm-raping everything.

Did they fix the kill-counts for the Garands yet?

I havent played much with the Garand yet, so i wouldnt know anything about killcounts being wrong :)

I haven't played much with the Garand either. In fact, I think I only have one kill with it. Coincidentally, the Thompson - with which I actually have 20-30 kills - shows that I have one kill as well ... Other people who use the Garand heavily, but have yet to actually use the Thompson, are reporting that they are getting scores for the Garand added on the Thompson total as well.

I'd prefer new maps/map versions over some unneccessary skins tbh.

I was wondering one thing: What is there actually that BF3 could make better than BFBC2? Because when I first played the BC2-Beta I thought wow this doesn't really work on PC and doesn't feel right, but now after 21 hours of online play it's really awesome and it's just Battlefield really.

Now for a multiplatform-BF3(I know some people claim EA said it'll be pc-exclusive, but come on ), what could they improve? Sure, more weapons and there's LOTS of more potential in terms of weapon customization, more maps/settings(then again BC2 already has desert, snow, us, jungle). More players maybe with further progress in enhancing the frostbite engine, but I mean what big changes could there be? Nothing occurs to me somehow.

Hmm of the 20 hours I played so far 99% was HC. I'd imagine being a sniper in Non-HC must really suck unless you have a M95. Because bolt-action rifle+2 shots to kill, umm hello?

After having unlocked all classes except Recon, I have begun playing Recon yesterday for the first time. As I was expecting, playing as a typical stationary sniper is extremely boring and I've also noticed that you do often need two shots. However, one shot to the head (with the M24) is always a kill I believe. What I'm really trying to do now is to unlock the red dot sight for the sniper rifles (kinda lame it doesn't get unlocked immediately, oh well) so I can use the sniper rifle as a battle rifle, considering that even the M14 and G3 don't do that much damage. I think that might be a good use for the Recon class (I refuse to be one of the many stationary snipers).

However, you should really play Normal mode instead of HC. In HC, snipers are extremely overpowered. Definitely not fun. Also, Normal mode will level you much, much faster. About 3 times as fast I would say, maybe even faster. I immediately switched over from HC when I discovered this and never looked back. Also, teamwork is better in Normal mode for a number of different reasons.

No way man. Snipers really aren't that terrible in HC. You're forced to use cover and be smarter which makes it more fun. Leveling might be easier in non-HC but really, unless you're dying to get a new weapon, who cares?

Guess we'll disagree there.

I think snipers are ****ing terrible in HC, time and time and time again you get killed by them from across the map. They don't even need to aim that well because even a crotch shot is an instant kill. Snipers are popular in Normal but on HC it's very common that more than half of the team are snipers. Considering a lot of maps are long-range and open (Arica Harbor for example, especially the first stage) snipers tend to dominate in HC.

Faster leveling is good if you haven't unlocked all weapons yet. :) Really, I wish I had discovered Normal mode earlier, it's so much better in every way (except the occasional 'survive-a-hailstorm-of-bullets-syndrome').

HC is like CoD where basically anywhere you aim you will get a kill (I know CoD a kill shot is anywhere but the extremities with the right rifle and stopping power, but lets face it, the hitboxes are bull**** bad as is the P2P lag). Lame, not requiring much skill. Then normal mode, only one shot kills on a fully healthy enemy is a headshot at any range a sniper rifle is designed to be used at. I think it should be head and upper chest. Anywhere else - better re aim.

How do you fire the UAV mg? @air vehicle options it says special ability RMB, but that doesn't work. Yet I often get killed by MG fire from a UAV

Also, what's with this Nemesis kill thing? I only saw tht there's a medal for it but I never had a single one

I think it is a specialisation you can chose for yourself, something about alternate weapons or such. Havent tried that out yet, so not sure.

The Nemesis is someone you've killed or has killed you 5 or more times in a row without dying yourself in the process.
Say he killed you 5 times, you then finally kill him, you'll get a pin for it.
