connection failed

After a patch the "connection failed" problem would / should be solved.
But i still have this problem daily. The moments are too often.

Am i the only one who have this still?

Am afraid it happens to all of us.. try doing a validating of youre RO files on steam. think it can help some

And I thought I was the only one, it really pisses me off while playing..imagine playing as Commander, and then you're moments away from setting the perfect arty spot..then that goddamed ****ing "Connection failed" pops up and you have to reconnect (takes just a few seconds to do this though as everything is still in memory?)

I'll make a note of this for Ramm guys, but it doesn't happen to me, nor does it happen to anybody who works at Tripwire, so it is hard for us to diagnose.

However awhile ago somebody ran into the problem where steam was taking too long to validate a RO connection because he had too many steam games (yes, having too many steam games caused an RO problem).

Valve noted that they were working on a fix. This might be related to the problem you guys are having or it might not be. I don't know if the fix for this problem was released with the last steam update or not, but I suspect it was, and if so odds are you don't have a similar issue.

And everybody from the clan i'm got it say at least once a day.

It's not that cool, but i can live with it!

- it happens on every map i choose and most of the time when i am almost
at the top of highscore.

Strange thing it only started within the past few months. I never had any problems before and now I get it like two or three times a session. I have followed all the 'tweaks' but no luck.
It seems like I finally get the sniper and *Click*, I get the !"#

IF anything its a problem probably on the servers itself, because of the bullets missing and people warping without packetloss.

Was chatting this evening with a friend before we got in a game.
He got connection problems and me also.

It`s really a steam problem!!

I'm affraid I am one of the people who has got the problem too...

It happens on almost every map I play, so it's very frustrating to even play RO at this moment. I have a 20 MB DSL line with which I never had any problems, so that can't be it.

I've tried validating the RO files through Steam, defragmentating cache files and opening the ports used by RO (which wasn't a problem when they where still closed). Nothing helped though.

this happens to me EVERYTIME i havent been able to connect in 6 months
and yes my ports are forwarded

edit: this isnt a steam problem it only happens in this game, and not even ut2k4 which i also have

I must say that the last couple of days have been better than before. I think it only happened once in like 5 hours of playing. So it happends very randomnly.
