The point is that a retail version can be "patched" to get around the limitaions. This is not working with the f**ing steam.

P.S. see the UT2004 german version. Simply replace a dll with the one from an un-cut version and... voila !

The problem with steam is that badly "enforce" some laws. The laws say that you are not allowed to "see" gore if you are below 18. But it not prohibit if you are over 18. but because steam sux, it cannot differetiate between ages. It should simply ask if you are over 18 or not like any porn site. It should not "enforce" the law!
BTW if you pay with a cc you must have 18+ I think ...

But this things were discused to death .. and I lost my hope in steam ... and in the lazy programmers/analysts at valve..

I think the thing he'll be known for is being disliked so much :D

I remember playing StarCraft..and seeing maps where your goal was to assasinate George Bush :p
(you could play as George Bush himself, Secret Service (different branches) or the assasins/terrorists :eek::cool:
