RO starting to really P*ss me off

For the love of god, anyone have any ideas as to these poxy game freezes and crashes,
I have done a complete re-install (several times), re-verified (several times), removed my anti-virus, shut down ventrilo, updated all driver, downloaded straight via Steam, divorced the wife (well nearly) and this poxy game (that I love when it works) still goes tits up on me.
I can honestly say I have never had this sort of problem with any other sort of game before.

Seems to me that there is some sort of major problem within this game somewere.

Hmm, Kristorf, if you have a temperature monitoring program, what does it say? Are your cpu temperatures getting too after running RO for a while? Are any of your zones getting overly hot? RO really uses the cpu and if you don't have AC or adequate cooling, this may be a cause...

LOL, of course your readings are lower after reboot and the problem comes again when you start the game.

Problem is in your over tuned hw, not in the game. Concentrate to your hw.
If you can attach 2 monitors, you could keep cpu/mb/gpu temp meter open in other window.

Also there could be some issues with X2. I think there exists thread about X2-problems.

Yeah, 71 C was smoking...

Glad you got those temperatures down before some bad happened. Just what were the temperatures after you ran RO....till it froze/crashed? (not idle temps or temps after other games - they don't use cpu as much as RO) because 41 C idle is ok, but when cpu used 100%?

And what about some of the other zone temps on the motherboard? GPU temp?

Temp reading is after playing game, nothing is overclocked (I don't think I need it, and why risk PC for a few FPS)

But how does the temperatures it generates affects everything else in the case... the motherboard, the memory zones, the GPU? I am not up much on AMD, but I know with my Intel, the hotter my cpu gets, the hotter everything else gets and from what I understand, my cpu can take the heat more than the motherboard I have....

Depends on ventilation i guess. I have two fans in my case, the frontside one sucks and the backside one blows. If it's hot in my studio, because there's been a heatwave in my country lately, the CPU reached 82C, ram around 54C. I checked some stats on the web to see what was ok and came up with this:
