I'll Show You Mine If You'll Show Me Yours (Part Deux)

Grandfather brought home all his loot from prisoners at the end of the war. He must have had officers surrender to him, because he also brought back a P38 and a Sauer M38 (H), which was a very, very rare pistol.

My dad took the Mosin off a dead VC after an attack on his position during the Tet Offensive. He took it home with him, wrapped in VC pajamas. Ironically, the customs agent confiscated the fatigues but let him keep the rifle!

Your K98 and M44 are very nice as is your arisaka, i personally hate all polish m44s as the stocks are always awful looking.

Also I like the dark wood on the Garand , the no1 and the no4

The Nagant revolver is in very good nick, too!

I really don't care much for the Polish M44 either. It was actually a groomsman gift from by best friend's wedding (beats the heck out of a cheesy lighter or something). It's what got me started on collecting these things.

Hi Zoring,

Not sure if it's a police carbine, I have read that they also exported them to El Salvador and Brazil.

Normally they have the hollowed out bolt handle, on this rifle the bolt is mis-matched and it's a nazi marked G.33/40 bolt.

Hopefully I'll be able to find a G.33/40 with a vz.33 bolt (common here) and swap them round.

I haven't shot it yet, but yeah it's going to be interesting :D

The Czech police carbine bas? 7.92mm in an even shorter and lighter form than the K98k, that thing must kick like a mule!

I regularly fire a vz24 short BRNO which is very similar, and we were expecting it to leave our shoulders sore the first time we took it out. That little Persian Mauser actually handles 7.92mm suprisingly well. The recoil was no worse than a Nagant M38 or M44. You'll enjoy that one BAS. Neat little rifles, great for hog hunting.
