The Elder Scrolls V

The publishers just sign the paychecks mate. Bethesda Softworks != Bethesda Game Studios. They're part of the same company, yes, but they have two radically different jobs.

Rage was developed by iD software. Brink was developed by Splash Damage. Hunted: The Demon's Forge was developed by inXile Entertainment. All of the above were -paid for- by Bethesda.

The last game that Bethesda developed was Fallout 3, which requires ~7GB. All in all, Bethesda Game Studio is landing in the same target circle they've been consistently hitting with every game they've released this generation.

Health Regen was confirmed to be in ages ago. It doesn't really matter though considering you could heal in an hour wait anyway, and regen doesn't work during battle.

Skeptical and/or disappoint. It totally defeats the bonuses of taking Restoration as a class skill, and it ruins any tension you get from running out of health potions in the middle of an uncleared dungeon and trying to escape without getting mauled.

The problem is that the health regeneration happens while at combat and the difference is that you couldn't wait while there were hostiles nearby, so you had to defeat the enemies, or successfully escape before you could heal.

Health Regeneration isn't supposed to work during combat. So really it doesn't invalidate potions, restoration, or just using wait/sleep.

But it does work during combat. Leaked video is from the final 360 version, and it clearly shows health regeneration during combat.

I already know whats the second mod I'll install.

I'll preorder tonight. Please, son, I mean Bethesda, do not disappoint me :(

They won't. It'll be a bug riddled mess and play very differently from Oblivion or Morrowind, have lackluster graphics, and you'll be talking to the same voice a lot, but it'll be a solid product with a deep, engaging world and enough depth to suck you in for months.

It's what you get from a Bethesda product. If you can live with the problems, you'll be treated to an amazing experience.

It'll be a bug riddled mess and play very differently from Oblivion or Morrowind, have lackluster graphics, and you'll be talking to the same voice a lot, but it'll be a solid product with a wide, yet generic world without any depth at all that will entertain you for 3-4 hours before you decide it's best to wait a year for mods to appear that make it a proper game.

It's what you get from a Bethesda product. If you can live with the problems, you'll be treated to an average experience that, while not really bad, cannot live up to the pre-release hype

Corrections in bold ;). But then, that's merely my personal tastes, the general public tends to regard Bethesda's games highly.

I'll never understand people that only like the Elder Scrolls games for the mods.

It's not even as if there have been many notable ones beyond models and textures. There were some overhauls for Oblivion but all it really did was add a buttload of new enemies and change how level scaling works. There are some quest mods but only a handful even stay lore-friendly.

It's nice for playing with new things, but it surely isn't the main draw of the game.

Pure gameplay tweak, there is a mod for almost every single thing you can think of, you want to turn off the crosshair, you can, you want to make things kill in 1 hit, you can, tweak the night day cycle speed?, you can, you pretty much can get rid of anything you don't like in the game and tweak it to perfectly match your desires, don't just go for the big overhaul packs, there is much more than that.

There are also the crossovers and teh porn. :3
