Ah... and this pc has served me well for so very very long. How things have changed from the old days, when everything needed replacing every few years.

Haha a GTX460 would obviously be more than enough graphics wise to run this game. But yeah, it totally depends on your others system components. There is a point of diminishing returns on graphics cards if your other PC components (mainly the CPU) aren't up to snuff.

Id suggest you pick yourself up a good quad core, it will perform much better than a dual in an unreal 3 game.

That will be fine, but a quad would be better. If you already have the E8400 I would try it with the beta later this year ( if you get chance ) and see if you want to upgrade. If you haven't got the E8400 yet I would buy a quad instead

Moyako, that rig sounds pretty good. I run a q6800 at home with a gt275.

But at the office I run a e6600 with an Nvidia 8800. How I run the game is one of the deciding factors of where we put the final specs.

I was just thinking that a e6600 and 8800 would be a good mid point and a q6600(love mine) and a gtx285(been holding up for me) would be getting to the the high settings.

What ever the spec turn out to be I am going to see how the game runs before I start upgrading then swap out what ever is holding me back.

well i made a small upgrade not long ago & I can run ArmA 2 on single player just fine
As well as AA3 ,TF2 . L4D etc.
with this

Amd Athlon 7750 duel core 2700Mhz
4Gb ram
Nvidia gts 250 (1GB Ram)

hopefully It will play HOS smooth?
