This is pretty good work. The key to texturing is material definition, observe your references and define each material, with diffuse based lighting your highlights play a very important role in defining each part of the gun. Check this out if you need help nailing some of the materials.

Thanks Z3RO, that made my day, as I do consider you one of the foremost authorities of modelling and texturing on the boards, so to get a pass from you, makes me know it's ok.

It was also down to the texturing thread that you created which helped me, as I had watched that video before, many times and never really caught on to WHY he did certain things, only to HOW he did them, where as the other little tidbits you supplied, really made things clearer, so a big thank you again.

I learned from other artists myself (Racer445 and Thanez have been a huge help.) There's not really a whole lot of tutorials on old school work anymore and a lot of artist just tend to skip it and go into current gen work, not saying doing current gen is easier or anything it just requires a completely different workflow.

So far your textures look pretty solid, just remember to have a good contrast from your highlights and burns, and good material definition.
